June is no exception to the rule that every month there is something interesting going on. Through the entire month, Comida di Buteco competition will be held and it is considered to be one of the main culinary competitions in all Brazil, taking place in 11 cities in 5 Brazilian states. This great contest will give awards for several categories, starting from food presentation to tidbits.
Between 2-6th of June, The Disney On Ice – Princess & Heroes event will be held and will bring the magic of the most famous Disney tales in an environment that will include ice skating as well as acrobatics. The venue for this special event will be Maracanãzinho - Rua Professor Eurico Rabelo, s/n – Maracanã.
The Expecting Mothers and Babies Trade Show will be organized in June and will focus just as the title says, on mothers-to-be and will introduce a rich variety of fashion products as well as other similar items at affordable prices. The venue will be Riocentro - GL Events Centro de Convenções - Av. Salvador Allende, 6.555 - Pavilhões 1, 2, 3 and 4 – Jacarepaguá.
Through the entire month of June, the city will be the home of the International Fifa Fan Fest which will be organized right on the Copacabana Beach. On the days that Brazil is playing, the large 50 m2 LCD screen will be turned to face outside of the arena, allowing the matches to be followed by over 100,000 people on the sands of the Copacabana beach. The arena for this immense event is inspired by football stadium architecture and will have a total area of 26 thousand square meters, with bars, restaurants and an official FIFA store.
If Brazilian folklore is what you are interested in, then you should know that in June the city will be the home of the June Bonfire Festivals. Throughout the entire city, there will be decorated flags, seasonal games and delicacies as well as other Brazilian traditional items to make tourists feel like they are home.
On the first two days of the month, the 10th edition of the Challenge Bibendum Rio will be held, not only in Brazil, but also in USA, China, Japan, Germany and France. For the 2010 edition, Rio de Janeiro was chosen to be the home of many academic specialists, public authorities as well as solution suppliers, which will all debate sustainable highway mobility.
Besides football, volleyball is also one of the highlights of June. To be more specific, on 18 and 19th the Brazilian team will play against South Korea, Holland and Bulgaria. The venue for this sporting activity is Maracanãzinho - Professor Eurico Rabelo, s / nº - Portão 18.
Our last reviewed event is the Rio Bom de Mesa - 7º Festival Gastronômico (Fine Dining in Rio - 7th Gastronomy Festival). This 7th edition intends to show all the wealth plus versatility of the seasonings and aromas resulting from the fusion of the Brazilian and Italian cuisines, which created an Italian-Brazilian version in the gastronomy. Here chefs from Italy and Brazil will gather to create some of the most special foods in the world.
