LiveFreeRAM is a tool for checking RAM usage on a computer, developed by FamousWhy.com and is available free of cost to the end user.

LiveFreeRAM has been designed with all types of users in mind. It is extremely light-weight with file size of only 29 KB, so that anyone can download and use it. Even on slow internet connections, it will be a matter of a few seconds to download. What makes this tool even more user friendly is the fact that it utilizes minimal system resources when used.

The software can be run anytime by executing the stand-alone executable file included in the download package. It does not require any installation and, so, users will not have to worry about uninstalling LiveFreeRAM if needed.

It displays a small window where the amount of free memory in kilo bytes (KB) is displayed live. Live means that the statistics is updated whenever there is a change in memory usage. This particular feature is evident when any other application is executed. When the new application is loaded, it can be seen that “FreeMEM” count in LiveFreeRAM decreases which indicates that the application just loaded uses up some of the free space available in RAM. Thus, LiveFreeRAM makes it very easy to rapidly identify applications that are resource intensive.

The little but powerful on-top feature also proves it worthiness to the user. It puts LiveFreeRAM above all other present windows simply by clicking on the “Top” button. This helps in viewing live free memory usage statistics all the time.

Having a small dimension improves the user experience of LiveFreeRAM. It can be placed anywhere on the screen as per user’s convenience and will still remain unobtrusive to other applications.

LiveFreeRAM will, thus, be useful for any developer trying to find out if the applications they have developed use up too much of system resource or it can be used by any normal user who is simply curious and wants to tune up the performance of their computer system.
